Dear Friends, Citizens of Zathras and loyal subjects of the crown, it is with great sadness that we report the passing of Duke Carlyle. He lost his life during a battle with foreign invaders on the Federated Commonwealth world of Apollo, pursuing his vision of a free and independent Periphery. He is preceded in death by his parents, and many of his siblings. He is survived by his brother Archibald, and his brother Lewis, as well as his niece, Aya.
“Carlyle was a figure of great vision, and he saw the opportunity and the chance for a fresh start for the Periphery. He wanted nothing less than to establish a new life and a new level of prosperity for the people of the Periphery no matter where they come from. He was at times troubled, and his mind was a foe of his, but he was always a patriot, and a loyal son of Zathras. We are diminished by his passing.” Archibald
